Kingdom Report
Meet Jesus
Who Jesus Christ is, what He has done, and how to begin following Him in repentance, faith, grace, and new life.
Kingdom Report is built around one central confession: Jesus Christ is King. The calendar, the feasts, prayer, Scripture, and every spiritual rhythm on this site only make sense when they lead us toward Him.
If you are exploring Christianity, begin here. The good news is not that you need to become more religious. The good news is that God has come near in Jesus to rescue, forgive, restore, and bring us home to Himself.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah promised in Scripture, the Son of God, and the Word who became flesh and lived among us. He revealed the Father, announced the Kingdom of God, welcomed sinners, healed the sick, confronted evil, and called people to follow Him.
He is not merely a teacher whose ideas Christians admire. He is Lord. Read John 1:1-18, Colossians 1:15-20, and Hebrews 1:1-4.
Why do we need Him?
The Bible is candid about the human condition: every one of us has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin is more than a collection of mistakes. It bends us away from God, damages what He made good, and leaves us unable to heal the deepest separation by our own effort.
Yet God did not abandon us. He loved us while we were still sinners. Read Romans 3:23, Romans 5:6-8, and Ephesians 2:1-10.
What has Jesus done?
Jesus lived faithfully, gave Himself on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead. His resurrection is God’s declaration that sin and death do not have the final word.
Through Jesus, forgiveness is offered, reconciliation with God is opened, and new life begins. Salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith. Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, and 1 Peter 2:24.
This is why Christians speak of being saved, made whole, and brought into new life. Jesus does not merely improve the old story; He makes us His own and begins a work of restoration that reaches spirit, soul, relationships, purpose, and ultimately all creation.
How do I respond?
Jesus calls us to repent and believe the good news. Repentance means turning from sin and self-rule toward God. Faith means entrusting yourself to Jesus—who He is, what He has done, and His right to lead your life.
You can turn to Him now. Speak plainly to God. Confess your sin, tell Jesus you believe He died and rose again, receive His mercy, and ask Him to make you new and teach you to follow Him. The words are not the point; Jesus is.
A simple prayer might be:
Jesus, I believe You are Lord. I need Your mercy. Thank You for giving Yourself for my sin and rising from the dead. I turn from my old way of life and put my trust in You. Forgive me, make me new, fill me with Your Spirit, and teach me to follow You. Amen.
Read Mark 1:14-15, John 3:16-17, Acts 2:37-39, and Romans 10:9-13.
What comes next?
Following Jesus is a new life, not a one-time religious moment. Begin simply:
- Read the Gospel of John. Ask, “Jesus, show me who You are.”
- Pray honestly. You do not need impressive language; bring God your gratitude, questions, sin, needs, and hopes.
- Find a faithful local church where Jesus is honored, Scripture is taught, prayer is normal, and people learn to love one another in real life.
- Be baptized as Jesus taught His disciples, and let other believers help you grow.
- Keep returning to Scripture. Learn the story of God from Genesis onward, and let the Holy Spirit form your life around Jesus.
The biblical calendar can become part of that journey because it helps us remember God’s acts, the story of Israel, the world in which Jesus lived, and the rhythms of rest, worship, remembrance, and celebration woven through Scripture. But the center is never the calendar. The center is Christ.
Follow Jesus through the biblical calendar
When you are ready to see how the feasts and holy days sit inside the Gospel story, follow Jesus and the Biblical Feasts: a Gospel timeline . It traces Jesus through childhood Passover, Sabbath ministry, the Passovers in John, Sukkot, the Feast of Dedication, His final Passover, resurrection, ascension, and the road to Pentecost—with direct links into the month and appointed-time guides.
If you have just trusted Jesus, welcome to the beginning of a life with Him. Start with the Gospel of John, then return to Today and let everything else on Kingdom Report be a tool for knowing Him more deeply.
