Practice together
Generosity: meet one nearby need
A practical Christian rhythm of noticing one real need and responding with quiet, proportionate love.
Shared rhythm
Begin with what you can practice together.
Notice one person or household within reach who could use practical help. Choose one thing you can genuinely do and do it quietly.
- Ask who near you could use food, transport, childcare, a repair, encouragement, a small gift, or another practical help.
- Choose one action that fits your actual time, money, energy, and responsibility.
- Serve without demanding gratitude, access, or recognition.

Start close enough to act
Generosity becomes easier to practice when the need is specific. A meal, a ride, an hour of childcare, a phone call, help with a repair, or a modest financial gift can matter greatly.
Quiet service
Jesus warns against giving for attention. There is no need to turn somebody else’s hard season into a story about your generosity. Help them, bless them, and let God receive the glory.
