Remember the deliverance
Passover (Pesach) belongs to Israel’s biblical story and remains a living Jewish observance. Christians have good reason to read the Exodus account carefully and to notice the Passover setting of Jesus’ final meal. Passover falls in Nisan, the month that gathers the Exodus, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, and the beginning of the Omer count.
Read Exodus 12. Thank God for bringing Israel out of slavery. Read Luke 22 and thank Jesus for redemption. Share a meal if that helps your household slow down. Tell a testimony of God’s faithfulness. Pray for people who still need freedom, rescue, or sustaining grace.
If you are learning about a Jewish seder, receive it as living Jewish tradition and listen to what its prayers, questions, foods, and songs mean to Jewish families. In your own Christian household, a simple evening of Scripture, gratitude, testimony, prayer, and shared food can carry the biblical story beautifully.
