Shared rhythm

Begin with what you can practice together.

Choose one true story of God's faithfulness, tell it with enough detail to be remembered, and invite another generation to ask questions and carry it forward.

  1. Choose one event, answered prayer, rescue, provision, lesson, or season worth remembering.
  2. Tell what happened, including what was difficult or uncertain at the time.
  3. Invite questions and record the story in a simple way if it is worth preserving.

Give faith a family history

Joshua 4 pictures children asking about stones that carried a story. Psalm 78 speaks of telling God’s works to the next generation. Testimony becomes especially powerful when it is truthful enough to include the struggle as well as the answer.

Passover (Pesach) is deeply shaped by remembrance of God’s deliverance. Christians can read those Scriptures with gratitude for God’s saving character and for Christ while honoring the Jewish people and the meaning Passover continues to hold for them.
